March (Pre-Season): Building Your Championship Catcher

This drill will help catchers identify the press or give technique they should apply.  With added reps catchers will gain instinct and learn which technique to apply.  It is important to remember that as catchers we do not have the ability to use our feet to create a good hop and we must learn to execute with whichever hop we are given.  Our feet are subject to getting into the tag-zone and therefore we are limited unlike infielders.
